Progress

From working cells
to repeatable
production.

Making a working cell is one milestone. Producing consistent cells and integrating them into useful equipment are the next ones. Volfpack is building that capability in Sri Lanka.

A clear development path

Progress that creates
the next capability.

The working foundation

Materials and
physical prototypes

Carbon-electrode research, pouch-cell development and a laboratory process covering preparation, coating, assembly and electrical testing.

Development priorities

Larger cells.
Consistent batches.

Control over coating, current paths, electrolyte distribution, sealing and resistance, supported by process records and measurement of variation.

Application validation

Measured performance
on a real duty

Power interfaces, protection and controls evaluated against a defined load. The test must establish the delivered support, recovery behaviour and equipment response.

A record of the electrode work

Volfpack-affiliated research on graphene-enhanced activated-carbon electrodes is published in Low-Dimensional Materials, with collaborators from Peradeniya, NIFS and HydroGraph.

Manufacturing ambition

Building more
of the value here.

Our aim is to develop the cell technology and manufacturing knowledge in Sri Lanka, close to the engineers and operating conditions that can help shape it.

The next stage concerns repeatability, larger formats and useful application evidence. Those results provide the basis for future manufacturing scale.

We welcome industrial teams, technical collaborators and manufacturing partners around defined development challenges.
