October Update: How the Freaking Rain Almost Took Us Down

Hi Wonderful People,
October was wild. Here’s the full story: the messy, the brilliant, and the next chapter.
Let’s start with the chaos because it nearly broke us.Our layer process went haywire. Capacity dropped, ESR (equivalent series resistance) spiked, and nothing made sense. All our systems checked out fine, yet everything was off.
Then we found the villain: the rain. The relentless humidity threw our entire setup out of balance. As a startup still juggling cash flow, Mother Nature delivered a brutal reality check. The storm forced us to slow down, look deeper, and rebuild stronger.

Better Results Than Ever
Fixing what the rain broke pushed us to re-engineer our entire process line by line and layer by layer. We didn’t just patch it up; we levelled it up.
The result? Our best performance yet. We have now proven that our testing can meet international standards, and the consistency of our output has never been better. That setback became the catalyst we needed to reaffirm our mantra of continuous improvement and relentless drive.
Strategic Partnerships
Two major milestones are pushing us from a garage-style hustle to a truly professional battery business.
NSF Grant Secured
We have been awarded funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF). It is a huge milestone that gives us the resources to acquire essential equipment and elevate our R&D efforts. A big thank you to the NSF team for their incredible support. Their guidance made the process smoother than any bank form I have ever filled out.
University Partnership
We are collaborating with the University of Sri Jayewardenepura’s engineering faculty on two projects focused on supercapacitors. The team is young, energetic, and moves fast. There is a great sense of synergy and momentum building with them.
Growth Through Collaboration
We are not just scaling internally; we are growing through collaboration. Over the coming months, we will focus on combining local expertise from Sri Jayewardenepura with the strategic international partnerships now taking shape.
This is the real work. It is hard, unpredictable, and occasionally brutal. But working together makes it possible, and every step forward proves that the Universe is on our side.
Expect more updates soon as we move into a professional facility early next year and announce several international collaborations that will define our next phase.
And to every founder reading this: I feel your struggle. The wins never come without the tears. Keep going.
Thanks,
Charlie
